@graveyardclassic i tried that nothing happened. does this require having windows xp or vista? i have windows 7 64 bit so maybe thats why?
graveyardclassic
@buckshotbrad just go to bios setup by hitting F2 button then change the option (boot from cd/dvd) then save and exit and then again press F12 to select the boot from cd option
buckshotbrad

@Einojuhani IS IT A LIVE CD TOO?
Einojuhani
@MrAbdulmaster But since you need a Windows 7 recovery program, I'd go with Cain & Abel; that's assuming if you have an account other than the Administrator's account. There doesn't actually have to be an "Administrator" user account. What you need is the password to any account that can act as an administrator.
Einojuhani
@MrAbdulmaster What you should do is get rid of Ophcrack and download Cain & Abel. Unlike Ophcrack and other popular password hacking programs, Cain & Abel requires access to Windows under an administrator account. I've used Ophcrack before as a test and it's by far the best free Windows password recovery tool. I've also tried Offline NT Password & Registry Edit. Cain & Abel is user friendly and can recover a ten letter password in under ten seconds. Very easy to use.
MrAbdulmaster
@Einojuhani dude ive already burned ophcrack but it gives me a red "not found" instead of the password but in the ophcrack site there are two downloadable ophcracks one for XP and the other for VISTA so wich one of em works on windows 7? (i dont remember wich one ive burned) please help me.....
bamitscam13
how can i trust all these progams??
Einojuhani
@MrAbdulmaster Yeah, it does work on Windows 7. I've tried it out myself and tinkered with the Administrator settings many times before. It was kind of fun to get the Windows 7 Safe Mode to actually run without Command Prompt or any networking status. But it has been done and it's been a proven test of knowledge dating back to Windows 98.
MrAbdulmaster
@Einojuhani yea right but i dont think its gonna work on windows 7.....
Einojuhani
You don't need to do this at all.All you have to do is restart, hit F8 and go into Safe Mode. Click Start and go to Control Panel, switch to View Classic Mode and go into your User Accounts. Click on the account which is password protected and erase the password.Doing it in Safe Mode is a lot safer than downloading any program off the Internet; plus it bypasses the Administrator password lock in which you forgot. After that, just log into your account and redo the password to something else
