| @DToddRemix Teah.Like why is table and angel spelled differently near the end?The way I pronounce it, and the way the 'rules' go, it should be spelled tabel.Taabell

| @DToddRemix Kool.Yeah, people parrot what they hear and assume it's right, like they should vote for Obama, 'n shit.
| DToddRemix |
| @JRBeaman Alright, I get what you're saying now.
| JRBeaman |
| @DToddRemix It sounds like a dweeb to people who have spent decades never hearing the "L" pronounced.
| sweetlikeADAM |
| @JRBeaman Lol, I know, right?
| JRBeaman |
| @DJszymon NOPE. The Neg is same on both cables (common).Still only be 5v 500ma
| JRBeaman |
| @TuPP3 Only if you split it into two circuits and not run them both thru a USB splitter, unless the USB splitter has it's own seperate Power Supply.500ma per USB channel.
| JRBeaman |
| @Shadowmaster939 usb power is effectively free and goes on and off with the computer. Batteries cost money and would have to be manually turned on and off. And we all know how many times we forget to turn stuff off...

| @vaisefudepqp AAA battery cant deliver 2000mah, more like 250. so your draw at that rate, the AAA won't last very long.
| JRBeaman |
| @jmanelson It is acceptable both ways. But sounds dumb to people who normally say it with L silent.
| JRBeaman |
| @bhenchodxxx Yeah, but without some regulation you will probably cook the batteries.
| JRBeaman |
| @sweetlikeADAM As an Electronics Engineer for over 45 years, in the USA, I have never heard anyone in my industry pronounce the "L".solder = "SODDER" (IMHO)
| JRBeaman |
| @Dapacc21 Reg Christmas lights are designed to run on AC power, but 120 vdc will run them just fine. Resistive load....
| JRBeaman |
| @sweetlikeADAM Yeah, you tell em sweet. Guys a dweeb.
| DToddRemix |
| @JRBeaman A lot of people say it like that, I use both ways, to make sure everybody can understand me, but does it make anybody sound like a dweeb? The answer is no, because people can understand it, and it makes sense. If the creators of solder didn't want people to use the L, they should have gone without using the letter in the first place.
| DToddRemix |
| @JRBeaman A lot of people say it with the "L" not being silent, I just say it both ways, just to make sure everybody can understand me.
| JRBeaman |
| @adicontakt That would happen only with 15 LEDs or more.Assuming each group of 3 leds draws 20 ma, => 5 * 20 ma = 100ma.Most Christmas Light strings draw less than the 20ma maximum of LEDs, so you should be safe with a 20-25 light string, but measuring the draw using the batteries first, would be a good idea.

| The "L" in SOLDER, is not pronounced (silent).Makes you sound like a dweeb.
| sweetlikeADAM |
| OMG The "L" in solder is silent!!!!!!!!

| @gigafide, is the 42% of americans you mention all living in nashville? 'cause I live in atlanta, where all races are united in murdering the English language; sawlder still sounds a bit odd.
| pjharro |
| @DarthMalignous hey in Aus we pronounce it "solder" like the word is actuallt spelt. Don't be so ignorant.
| jmanelson |
| like jameswoods claims. the L in solder is indeed not silent. You saying it soder is incorrect. Really though it can be said either way and i say soder but if you are going to criticize him about it then I will point out (as James Woods pointed out before me) your stupidity. Also awesome video and idea.
| bhenchodxxx |
| cool video if you put in recharagble batteries will it also charge the batteries?
| JonathonReinhart |
| This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.... ooooooohhh cool lets run shit off the USB's Vcc
| jameswoods2001 |
| with respect, you are wrong, the "L" in solder is not silent.
