I'd like to host a web site that allows for ~200 users to create a profile with photos and text, where the general public can register to rank these profiles. (Pardon the ambiguity.) Maybe this can be done without reinventing the wheel? I have some experience with Java and .NET, but minimal web programming experience (some html and CSS, and a bit of SQL). There must be an easy way to do this, without having to do everything from the ground-up!

so i've been doing web design and such things for a couple of years ago and i decided to make my own website instead of doing it for other people. i wanted to kind of make a website like myspace [where people could have their own account and maybe their own profile] with features like chat, a forum, etc. so i was wondering what host or website should i use in order to make my website like this, i need something kind of advanced money isn't an issue here and would i serioulsy have to have my own server for this like myspace does?
