Help… im 23… and I dream of being a graphic designer but I don’t have any formal training or programs.. Pretty much I don’t have anything for it. I live for art and designing it makes me so happy to see other ppl enjoying my artwork.

it brings me joy. If I could just figure how to make money doing the things i love…. I would be set…. my plan to start a web site selling my paintings to raise money to buy graphic design programs… computer. Etc.

now Im thinking maybe I should just stick with painting.. and try that..If im going to do this.. I need to know where I should start.. im kinda lost on what my goal should be and how to get started…. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi I am 15 and have realized I am dead serious about wanting a career in Graphics Design/Web Design I am currently taking 2 web design classes in school, I find that they are easy, most of the stuff I had already self taught myself.

I have been self teaching myself Photoshop, which I have been using A LOT.. I also have Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, and Dreamweaver 8, Is that enough to get started in Graphics, Web Design If not can you list some programs I should get eventually, I have a Mac so if it is a Windows software I cant use it untill I upgrade my Mac.. So I do not need to know about Windows programs unless they are a MUST, Thanks and any info or advice would be great thanks! Does any one know some of the cheaper programs?and can you list them?.. lol Adobe is a little pricey for now,

I would like to go to school for either Web Design/Development or Network Systems.

would benefit me more? Which pays better? Which has the best long term outlook? Personal Experiences welcomed.
